The Payroll Company is proud to be recognized yet again as one of Inc. 5000 Fastest-Growing Private Companies in America. TPC has been included in this list of businesses all across the United States that have been ranked by revenue, industry, state or metro area in 2021.

What does it mean to be an Inc. 5000 company? Every year, a list is released containing the fastest-growing private companies in America. The goal is to provide a look at thriving independent small businesses. Qualifying companies must be US-based, privately held, for profit, and independent. If you’re lucky enough to make the list, it means you have demonstrated sustainable growth—sustainable enough to be considered one of the 5,000 most successful companies in the country. TPC has retained this status for six consecutive years. In other words, we’re strong, independent, and we’re growing more and more each year.

The irony of this recognition is that we're simultaneously celebrating 20 years in business. We’ve seen a lot in 20 years. HR has only gotten more complex and increasingly challenging, and in response, our team has stepped up to the plate. 

Looking back, TPC was initially just a payroll processor—the guys who made prepping for payday easy. Our initial objective was to handle the minutiae of all things payroll so that business leaders could maintain focus on their company. However, as our customer base grew, we saw where we could fill a greater need to best serve our clients and help them in all parts of team building, management, and retention. Payroll is, after all, just one part of the human resource process. So, with that, TPC grew as well, becoming a partner that provided More Than Payroll, but rather the full shebang.

So, in reflecting on the past six consecutive years of TPC being recognized by Inc., we would like to express our sincere gratitude to our customers and internal teams alike for making our continual growth and success as a business possible. Since its inception, TPC has grown to add more offices across Missouri and Arkansas. Our dedicated staff of HR experts are proud to now serve as an all-inclusive stop for all things management, including payroll to taxes, benefits, time management, HR managed services, employee engagement solutions and more. We look forward to continuing in that tradition. Here’s to celebrating an amazing 20 years in business AND our 6th consecutive recognition as one of the top 5000 companies in the country.
